FITNESS CHALLENGE FOR OUR MEMBERS
We know that it can be hard to stay with your fitness program over the summer – so we created a 10-week fitness challenge to keep you motivated and help improving your fitness level.
The challenge already started June 14. You can still join the challenge up to last week. August 20 will be the last day to have ALL requirements completed
We challenge you to complete 8 out 10 requirements plus complete a multiple choice fitness quiz (answers is provided in this Newsletter).
Please pick up flyer in gym with info on the 10 requirements. If you look at the requirements and think you cannot do it – we challenge you to spend the next weeks to increase your fitness level to the point where you can do it! Yes, we believe YOU CAN DO IT! We have handouts with tips how to improve.
The challenge is FREE for our members. All that complete the challenge will receive a t-shirt and enter a drawing for one month FREE CrossFit OR one month (1 session per week) FREE Personal Training sessions.
Join us September 24-26 at NorthRidge Fitness for AFAA Personal Fitness Trainer workshop.
| This three-day certification workshop includes lectures, practical demonstration and both written and practical exams. It covers exercise physiology, anatomy, kinesiology and injury prevention. The course also includes fitness assessment testing procedures (3-minute step test, sit-and-reach, push-up/abdominal crunch, body composition screening with skin-fold caliper measurements), nutrition fundamentals and weight management, special populations and medical considerations, communication skills, leadership and motivational coaching, exercise programming in the weight room, and wellness programming and risk factor assessment guidelines. The course objectives are consistent with those of the National Board of Fitness Examiners. Although this course will help prepare you for both AFAA’s Personal Fitness Trainer Certification and the Personal Fitness Trainer National Boards, successful completion of the course does not guarantee you will pass either examination.
